Temple Night!

Our friends invited us to go to the temple the other night and it turned out to be a fabulous idea. Brynlee was talking the whole way over how we were going to go get married there. She then made it very clear she did NOT want to be married anytime soon. HA good thing! It was fun to just visit the visitors center, I don't remember the last time we took time to go there and just walking around has a special spirit to it. I'm glad my girls got a chance to experience it and I think we might make it a monthly routine. The girls saw the Jesus statue and both flipped! Brynlee was in awe and Reese was jumping up and down say "jee jee" I love that children recognize Him right away. While we were in the visitors center, the dust storm of the century set in...it was interesting walking to the car, to say the least.

Happy 4th!

4th of July was fun this year and totally laid back, which I love. We went swimming all day, went home and all took naps, and then went to my parents for a bbq. Kyle & Devin went and bought some fireworks and gave us a little firework show that may or may not have stressed me out a little bit..Then we had sparklers which were fun for about 10 min. Until Brynlee's broke and got stuck in her flip flop. Poor girl has blisters and a sad little burn. In other news, Reese is not a baby anymore. I kind of want to cry. When did she grow up?? Anytime I pull out a camera she say "CHSSS" With the most ridiculous grin I've ever seen...Melts my heart everytime.

Swim Day!

Last weekend we bought a little pool for the girls. They absolutely LOVE it! We've swam in it almost every day...but the weather is a little insane at the moment so who knows when we'll pull it out again. But for now here are some of the pictures from our swim day :) Plus one of Brynlee's outfit she chose, including my sunglasses, she's too cool for school.

Tangled!

My sister Alisa took Brynlee to go see Tangled awhile back and Brynlee is obsessed! She loved it. She always will say "Mom she has big hair like tangled..."Or "look i have long hair like tangled, I want to cut it longer"("and I'll cut Reese's bangs shorts" haha luckily she only uses her pretend baby scissors or we'd have big problems around here..) Anyways, Alisa found the cutest tangled wig and B loves it. We also tried it on Reese and that didn't go over so well...

Mesa Children's Museum

Why had we never been to this little gem?! My cousin came in town and we decided to meet her and her kids at the children's museum. It was SO much fun! My girls had a blast and could have lasted all day (if we had been smart enough to pack a lunch) Honestly, I thought they'd be done after an hour, but we stayed for 3. And they were mad when we were leaving. I'm thinking I need to get a season pass to this place, I just wish it was a little closer or we'd go every day! Ha I couldn't even get one good picture of these two smiling because they were on the go the whole time.

Concussion...

Last weekend was a little crazy for us at the Rohner house..It started off like any other day. Wake up, change diapers, turn on Elmo, make breakfast...as I was fixing myself some breakfast while the girls ate Brynlee decided it would be a good idea to fall off her chair. backwards. She didn't catch herself and I ran to help her. She was screaming/not breathing/having a seizure as I ran to the couch. She turned bright white and got super stiff as I held her. She was jerking around and her face didn't even look like my daughter. I was completely freaking out but then it stopped and she was completely fine? I called my mom and might have been a little out of control. She said to call the doctor. So, I called, they put me on hold. While I waited on the phone Brynlee started puking. Over and over and over...I really started freaking out then and got her in the car. Luckily my sister came to the rescue and stayed at our house with Reese. We started driving to Cardon's hospital but Brynlee started throwing up again like crazy. I started freaking out more and went to Phoenix childrens urgent care which is pretty close to our house. Kyle met me there and asked someone to help us. Their urgent care doesn't open until 5. But after looking at Brynlee decided they needed to have a nurse check her out. They looked at Brynlee for about 15 minutes and decided to call an ambulance. 5 hours and a CT scan later and they told us Brynlee had a really bad concussion and better stay on the ground for the next week or so. Probably the scariest moment of my life. I think we have all been a little terrified of head injuries in our family and we didn't want to even think of the worst case scenarios. Luckily she has been completely fine, and has been a little too much back to normal :) It's been very difficult trying to keep our very active 2 year old settled down.
