...what to do...

So I couldn't sleep tonight...a combination of a headache and my brain wouldn't stop thinking. I hate when that happens. It doesn't happen often to me, I usually can fall asleep pretty much anytime, anywhere. So I finally fell asleep at about 12:30 and i hear a little whimper from my adorable daughter across the room. Of course I wasn't thinking she was so adorable at the time. I was thinking "really Brynlee, now? You wake up now, now that I can finally fall asleep? you would." So I unsuccesfully try to give her a binky to help her fall back asleep. After the fourth time getting out of bed to put it back in her mouth I decided this was not working...So I bit the bullet and got up to make her a bottle. I thought this would for sure do the trick. I mean she's waking up because she's hungry right? wrong. I give her the bottle and wait for her to peacefully fall back asleep. But then I look down and with her milk covered face and her bottle hanging halfway out of her goofy little smile, and I decided she was adorable again. At the same time I realized she wasn't waking up for meal time...she thought it was playtime. So I'm sitting here writing this and she's sitting next to me like she's 14, not 4 months, staring at the screen and then looking up at me like she understands what I'm writing. It's ridiculously cute and I'm annoyed that she can get anything she wants and I'll do it with a huge smile because she's so dang cute! So ANYways I think I've decided I finally need to get her on a "schedule" because her "schedule" for the past two weeks is wake up whenever she feels like it ( meaning wake up at least 15 times during the night) What's up with that anyways? She's been sleeping through the night for at least 2 months! So if anyone has tips...I would greatly appreciate it ;) Now I need to go play with my favorite little girl...even if it is 1 in the morning

p.s. this was written while i'm half asleep and blind...so sorry if it doesn't make sense.

I know how that goes...Audrey can smile at me and get me to do anything she wants! I put Audrey on a schedule and now she automatically falls asleep on her own at 8pm and sleeps all night. To get her started I gave her cereal before bed to help her feel full and comfortable, then I turn on the same CD (primary songs) and turn out the light. It doesn't work for everyone but it works wonderful for us so give it a shot! Good Luck!

Oh Camille- You're such a sweet mom. I'm so grumpy at night. I wish I could be as patient as you. As far as advice goes, each kiddo is so different, so it's hard. My pediatrician said that once your baby is 3 months old, they're not waking up because they need to eat anymore, they're waking up because their body and tummy is used to it. Let her fuss for a short bit each time and see if she'll go back to sleep. The older they get, the harder it gets to teach them to sleep through the night. Call me sometime and I'll tell you what I did with my kids. Good luck!

Poor Camille! That is hilarious. I do the same thing with Caden when he wakes up. I keep giving him the binky....it never works, you would think we would learn. haha Brynlee really is such a cutie! We miss her tons and need more pics! :) Let me know if you figure out what helps with Brynlee because I'm sure Caden will be like that in a month or so. Love you!

I can just see your face an inch from the screen typing, ha! I feel your pain... and I love how you've worded your post. I would be hacked off at 1:00 am. I will tell you what I did with cannon and bridger but it isn't working for the chubs so who knows, he must be a rare breed... or spoiled.

I guess once you are a mom we all know how this goes! Seriously don't they care about our sleep! haha NOPE! YOu should read the book baby wise and healthy sleep habbits for a happy baby! Best books ever! Totally helped! It sucks to let them cry it out...but it only lasts for a week or so and then it is happy sleeping...so a week of you know what...I don't think I should write what I am thinking but you get the point! So ONE crapy week for a couple months of good nights! And then the teething sucks! good luck! I love that you were so up for blogging at 1am! haha
